Getting Connected at Kellyville High School

Facilitated by MECC, Kellyville High School is piloting an exciting initiative for Year 7 students aimed at building resilience in students. Resilience is the ability a person has to deal with issues in their life based on building an appropriate set of values, relationships, skills and attitudes.

The Getting Connected Project is a process designed to involve students, teachers, parents and other community youth workers in implementing a 40 week activity-based learning program for students. This program will be run in the school, and will facilitate the inclusion of young people in meaningful activities in the community at other times. These activities will make a significant contribution to their lives and to their community.
